The diptyque story began in Paris at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain with, at its heart, three friends driven by the same creative passion. In 1968, diptyque composed its first eau de toilette, L’Eau, inspired by a 16th-century potpourri recipe and the scent of pomanders. New creations followed: eaux de parfums, roll-ons, and a rare vinaigre de toilette. For 40 years, diptyque has been developing a sophisticated collection of personal fragrances giving it a clear, distinctive natural signature. Diptyque is also well known for its interior fragrances, conquering the world with their legendary candles. Diptyque often focuses on nature, from the green fig in Philosykos to the dry cedar and sandalwood in Tam Dao, most of their fragrances evoke the sensation of being on an exotic journey.
