Les Nombres d’Or
Mona Di Orio represents the very best of modern French perfumery : great raw materials, faceted compositions, and an understanding of the great perfumes of the past.
As such, Mona Di Orio takes on traditional composition and gives it her own twist; Odes to the golden age of perfumery through an unconventional perspective. Her Oudh fragrance uses Osmanthus rather than rose, her Vanilla feels like spicy rum with bitter orange and leather, her Cuir has a rarely matched dose of animal Castoreum.
The characteristic style of MDO is to create collisions between light and dark, Art Deco in a bottle where the joy of the bright top notes is layered upon dark nuances and mysterious pleasures.
Mona Di Orio Parfums is a luxury fragrance house founded by Mona Di Orio and Jeroen Sogtoen. Mona was a classically trained perfumer, who studied under legendary Master Perfumer Edmond Roudnitska for 15 years. Mona passed away suddenly in December 2011, at just 42 years old. She lives on through the gorgeous perfumes she created, and the brand is alive and well under the leadership of Jeroen Sogtoen.
