On the journey from Saint Petersburg to Genoa, a ship loaded with Russian reindeer leather sank in the Baltic Sea in the 18th century. Centuries later, the leather was unearthed and reproduced by a French tannery, eventually finding its way into the hands of Pierre Guillaume. The warm luxury and animalic elegance of this material form the heart of this powerful leather fragrance. The dryness of Russian leather and robust woody tones are given a fresh touch by pepper leaves and the fruity nuances of davana.
